Kathleen Johnson

Diversity and Inclusion Speacialist and Coach

I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. I am a single mother of 5. I have lived in Ottawa, Mississauga, Toronto, and I came back to Calgary in 2019. I chose my current profession due to the George Floyd murder reminding me of all the racism I faced growing up and my dad being the first police officer of colour on the Calgary Police Force so I had a unique perspective to contribute to the conversations being had. I also have experience with other marginalized groups as 4 of my 5 children have disabilities and neurodivergences such as ADHD, Autism, and Learning Disabilities. 3 of my kids also identify as LGBTQ+. I take all these experiences and help others.
