What hurdles did you face?
When things get rough I always lean on my morning routine and my habits! The morning is such a magical time of the day and as a result, It’s the time of day where I fuel my mind/body/soul to help me generate energy that will drive me throughout the course of my day. My morning begins at 4:44 am and consists of over 15 different tasks (habits that I’ve developed over time) ranging from meditation, running/workout, reading, and focused thinking just to name a few. Even if I feel terrible when I wake up. By the time the clock strikes 8:30 am I’m pumped up, filled with energy and ready to dominate the day!
What advice would you give to the 15 – 18 year old version of yourself?
Just start! Don’t be scared to fail. Failure is the greatest teacher there is. You also need to be ready for all the obstacles and roadblocks that lie ahead along your journey. Another important thing is to get out of your comfort zone. Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable leads to growth and new experiences. As you start to add up all of these new experiences, things you once thought were difficult or maybe even impossible will start to become “the norm”. Lastly, be sure to have an open mind. Be open to learning new things, never assume you know it all. Find mentors who can help steer you down the right path and learn how to ask for help. Most times you can find out exactly what you need to do from someone who’s done it before. That way you’ll be able to skip paying the “dummy tax”.
